Why we started
The Local Solar Company was founded with a clear purpose: to raise standards across the industry and deliver a better experience for our customers. Too often, homeowners face delayed installations or a lack of communication after the point of sale, leaving them uncertain and questioning their decision.
We place our customers and their journey at the heart of everything we do. From the initial design through installation, including all the paperwork behind the scenes, we manage the entire process for you.
A note from our founder
Hi, my name is James, the founder of The Local Solar Company. I started my journey in 2010 in Sydney, Australia, where I spent over a decade designing solar and battery storage systems, in a market much further ahead in renewable adoption.
With rising energy costs, more people are looking for ways to reduce their bills while helping the environment. We believe solar should be accessible to everyone, and by using our buying power we pass savings on to our customers without compromising on quality.
We are passionate about people and a little solar-mad, and that is exactly how we like it. If there is sunlight on your street, chances are you will see us there soon.
